A few years ago, University of Washington’s CoMotion team reached out with an exciting challenge.
They were moving into a new building and although the architecture plans were stunning, they didn’t quite capture the vibrant creative energy or connection to the Pacific Northwest that CoMotion was seeking. They asked if I could take a stab at some interior design elements, which launched a comprehensive multi-year, multi-building environmental design bonanza. Not only did I get to design wall graphics, site diagrams and a wayfinding system, but I selected original Native American artwork for the main conference room, immersive photographic wallpaper for multiple Zoom rooms and even a custom neon sign in the café. Touring the finished building was one of the greatest thrills I’ve had in my career, and I’m so thankful for the experience.
